2026 SwimAtlanta Long Course KickOff

IMPORTANT: New Spectator & Parent Entry Procedures (Georgia Tech Policy)
Georgia Tech has implemented enhanced security procedures for spectators attending events at the Campus Recreation Center. These procedures are new and will be enforced for this meet and for all future swim events held at this facility.
Metal Detector Process
- Two metal detectors will be positioned outside the Campus Recreation Center Stadium Seating main entrance.
- All spectators must remove items from their pockets before walking through the metal detectors.
- All bags will be screened. To expedite the process, please store unnecessary items in your vehicle.
- Clear bags may help speed up screening.
- If the alarm sounds during walkthrough, the individual will be screened using a handheld wand.
All attendees should plan extra time for entry.

Due to the size of the meet and to help keep the timeline running efficiently, teams have been divided into sessions each day.
Chase Starts & Starting Procedures
Chase starts will be utilized during both sessions throughout the weekend.
For all events 100 meters and longer:
• Odd heats will start from the diving well side of the pool.
• Even heats will start from the scoreboard side of the pool.
All 50 meter events will start from the scoreboard side of the pool.

Volunteer Timers Needed
We are asking for volunteer timers during the Midday / Afternoon Sessions. Every team has limited opportunities to race in a 50-meter pool, and we greatly appreciate everyone helping make this opportunity possible for the swimmers.
As a bonus, we will be giving away Speedo Tech Suits to two lucky volunteer timers during each session.
Important Meet Information
Please note that the diving well at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center is currently closed for repair and will not be available during the meet.
The leisure pool will be available for warm-up and warm-down throughout the weekend. For safety reasons, all entries into the leisure pool must be feet-first.

Important Reminders
- Pool Deck Access: Only officials, volunteers, swimmers, and coaches are allowed on the pool deck.
- Competition Pool: Swimmers will compete in the middle pool near the diving well.
- Parking: Georgia Tech does not offer prepaid parking. Please plan to park in the parking deck next to the aquatic center (credit card only).
Security Procedures
- Security Screening: All spectators will go through a security screening process upon entry.
- Metal Detectors: Spectators should expect to walk through metal detectors.
- Plan Ahead: Please arrive early and allow extra time for entry.

Finals each night will be bringing high energy to the pool deck with a live DJ and a Championship A Final walkout to create a true big-meet atmosphere.

- No PrePay Parking: Parking deck next to the pool & visitor parking lot will be open. They will be Credit Card only.
- Deck Access: Only swimmers, officials, volunteers, and coaches are permitted on the pool deck. Spectators must remain in designated seating areas.
- Timers Required: Swimmers are responsible for providing their own timers for the 400 IM, 500 Free events, 1000 Free, and 1650 Free.

2026 Georgia Swimming Peach State @ Cumming Aquatic Center
SwimAtlanta is excited to welcome swimmers, families, coaches, and teams to the 2026 Peach State Championship at the Cumming Aquatic Center!
Only swimmers, volunteers, officials, and coaches are permitted on deck. Parents are asked to sit upstairs in the spectator seating and help cheer their swimmers on.
Swimmers racing the 500 Freestyle on Sunday must provide their own timer and counter. Chairs are allowed on deck but please keep walkways and emergency exits clear.
