2026 Best of the South @ GA Tech

IMPORTANT: New Spectator & Parent Entry Procedures (Georgia Tech Policy)

Georgia Tech has implemented enhanced security procedures for spectators attending events at the Campus Recreation Center. These procedures are new and will be enforced for this meet and for all future swim events held at this facility.

Metal Detector Process

  • Two metal detectors will be positioned outside the Campus Recreation Center Stadium Seating main entrance.
  • All spectators must remove items from their pockets before walking through the metal detectors.
  • All bags will be screened. To expedite the process, please store unnecessary items in your vehicle.
  • Clear bags may help speed up screening.
  • If the alarm sounds during walkthrough, the individual will be screened using a handheld wand.

All attendees should plan extra time for entry.

Welcome to the 2026 Best of the South at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center. We are excited to host an incredible weekend of fast swimming and championship racing — and we are especially grateful to our sponsor, Captyn, for powering this event. For teams arriving early, Thursday training opportunities are available. Our Sugarloaf location will be open all day for swimmers and teams looking to get a quality practice in. In addition, limited lanes will be available at Georgia Tech from 4:30–7:30 PM. All swimmers must be finished by 7:30 PM, and teams should plan to share lanes and space so everyone has an opportunity to swim.

Reddiset Swim Shop will be on hand for all of your swimming and meet apparel needs. If you need goggles, caps, tech suits, or Best of the South gear, they will have you covered.

Capturing all the action this weekend will be River Oak Photography. River Oak Photography is thrilled to provide professional action photography for families at 2026 Best of the South. Finals each night will be bringing high energy to the pool deck with a live DJ and a Championship A Final walkout to create a true big-meet atmosphere.
