SENIOR AND AGE GROUP SELECT TEAMS
In an effort to motivate all of our swimmers, SwimAtlanta has created incentives for each age group beginning at nine years old. SwimAtlanta swimmers who achieve the Select Time Standard for their specific age group will be awarded TYR outfitting.
For each age group, a swimmer must achieve the needed Select Team time standard in at least one event. When a swimmer reaches that benchmark, recognition on that Select Team lasts for a year. To explain, if a swimmer achieves the 11-12 Select Team time standard in the 50 BR at the 2010 Age Group State Meet, he or she must remake the time before that date in 2011 in order to re-qualify for the Select Team.
