GEORGIA SHORT COURSE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
DECEMBER 11th - 13th, 2009

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all swimmers who have achieved the required time standard either short course yards (SCY) or long course meters (LCM) for each event entered since December 11th, 2008. Swimmers who have achieved the 1000 FR qualifying standard may enter the 1650 FR. If you have only achieved a state qualifying time LCM, please enter at the SCY time standard. Please visit www.swimatlanta.com for State Qualifying Times.
VERY IMPORTANT-If a swimmer fails to achieve the qualifying standard at the meet and cannot prove that he/she achieved the qualifying standard either SCY or LCM via the national times database SWIMS, Georgia Swimming, Inc. will invoke a fine of $50.00 against the swimmer for each event a qualifying time cannot be proven.
· As a result, your Amateur Swimming Foundation, Inc. account will charged $50 for each unprovable state time. Please note that converted times are not acceptable proof of times as they cannot be proven.
FORMAT: All individual events will be conducted on a Preliminary and Final basis with the exception of the 1650 Freestyle, which will be conducted as timed final events. All relay events will be Timed Finals.
1650 free entrantswill have an AM/PM option to be declared with the Clerk of Course at time of check-in. The fastest women’s and men’s heat of those swimmers checked in as “PM” will be swum in the Finals session in numerical order. The remaining 1650 free heats will be conducted in the Prelims and will beswum fastest to slowest alternating women then men and will be the last event in Sunday’s Prelims.
NOTE: CHECK-IN TO BE ON SATURDAY – THE DAY BEFORE 1650 WILL BE SWUM – BY 12:30 PM.
ENTRY LIMIT: Swimmers may swim three (3) individual events per day.
ENTRY FEES: $4.25 per individual event and $20 SwimAtlanta surcharge ($5 SA surcharge and $15 facility surcharge). Pleasemake checks payable to Amateur Swimming Foundation, Inc. and note that all entry fees are non-refundable.
LATE ENTRIES: On site late entries will be permitted only if open lanes are available and will be seeded with NT. No additional heats will be created in pre-seeded events. Late entry fees will be doubled for individual and relay events. Coaches’ late entering swimmers on site must have proof ofUSA registration for each late enteringswimmer, or, complete a USA registration form and pay the $59 USA registration fee before late entries will be accepted. Late entries will be accepted up until 30 minutes prior to the start of the affected session.
Late Entry Policy: No entry forms can be accepted after your specific SwimAtlanta location’s deadline. Once the entry deadline has passed, the only way to enter the meet is to late enter the day of the meet. Please be aware that late entry fees are the swimmer’s responsibility and are typically double the original cost per event. A copy of the swimmer’s USAS ID card is required to late enter a swim meet and can be obtained at least five days prior to the meet by calling Emille at 678-442-7946.
