Important Reminders about May Dues

At SwimAtlanta, we understand May can be a very busy month in terms of school ending, vacations, and summer swim league practices starting.  As a result and throughout the season, we allow the flexibility for families to take months off without paying monthly dues for that said month.

With that said, families that began swimming in August and have paid for every month beginning in September, will owe their final monthly payment for the season in May.  As a reminder, monthly tuition is due by the 10th of the month.

Please remember if your child will not be swimming with SwimAtlanta during the month of May, please call 678-442-7946 or email swat1977@aol.com to let us know.  It is courteous and a great idea to let the coaches know of your new plans of not swimming, but please do not rely on them to ensure your account is correct.  It is imperative that you call 678-442-7946 or email swat1977@aol.com to adjust your account, so you are not charged for May dues.

To answer a frequently asked question, unfortunately it is not possible for SwimAtlanta to prorate monthly tuition dues for May or any other month.  We apologize advance for the inconvenience but the structure in which our coaches get paid as well as the difficulty in managing over 1,300 swimmers each modifying the program and dates, it is not feasible to prorate tuition.  Therefore, if you attend any practices in May, whether one or thirty, the full monthly tuition will

be due by the 10th of the month.

To review some of SwimAtlanta's tuition policies, please note the following:

1. Monthly tuition is due for every swimmer by the 10th of the month.  We do not charge late fees, but an invoice will be mailed on the 15th as a reminder payment is due.
2. Any account that becomes two months in arrears, will be inactivated, and swimmers will not be permitted to swim until payment in full is received.
3.  Unfortunately, we cannot prorate tuition as with five locations and over 1,300 swimmers, it would be impossible to track such attendance in a fair and honest way.  Therefore, full tuition is due from every swimmer regardless of whether a swimmer swims one day or thirty days in the month.
4. We do offer swimmers the flexibility to take months off without payment being due, and in order to do so, families must contact 678-442-7946 or swat1977@aol.com prior to the start of the month to notify the staff that a break will be taken.  Please do not rely on the coaches to ensure your account will be adjusted properly.
5. Families that begin swimming in August and pay for every month September through May, can continue swimming during June and July but monthly tuition will not be due.  In essence, families pay for 9 months (September-May) to cover twelve months of swimming.
6. All families not starting when our season officially begins in August, pay for each month swum starting the month the swimmer joins through July.  However, if a swimmer does not attend practice during a particular month, tuition is not due and the office must be contacted to adjust your account.
7. For families who join in August, we offer a 10% discount for paying the year in advance; we define the year as September through May.  Those that take advantage of paying for nine months, receive a 10% discount off of monthly dues.  In the case that midway through the season a swimmer decides to not swim, a refund for the months not swum will be issued minus the 10% discount as the year in advance (nine months) is no longer being paid in advance.  In other words, the monthly charges will be corrected to reflect the removal of the discount awarded and if a refund is available, one will be issued.

If you have any questions about SwimAtlanta's policies or need any assistance from the staff, please contact us at 678-442-7946 or swat1977@aol.com.  Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
